This Privacy Policy is for Brian Shaw and acts that are managed by or represented by the Brian Shaw Entertainments Group.


European Data Protection law changed on 25 May 2018. Like all organisations that use your personal information, Brian Shaw and other acts that are part of the Brian Shaw Entertainments Group have to provide more information about the purposes for which we use your personal data, the rights you have over it and what that means in practice. So we’ve taken this opportunity to update our Privacy Policy. Don’t worry - the way we use your data hasn’t changed, and we still give it the same level of care and protection.

Information we collect


When you make a booking with us, all confirmations are made in writing, either by email or texts, depending on what information you gave us. These details are kept on our database so that we can contact you regarding existing, future and potential bookings. The same applies for information we use if we contact you for marketing purposes. We often send show posters, information and invoices this way, along with the booking terms and conditions. We will also have any relevant information, which is needed for the purposes of the booking such as the venue address and contact number. 

There are 5 technologies we use to facilitate this – detailed below:


Google Analytics is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to our partner websites. All user data is entirely anonymous.



Google Contacts is Google's contact management tool that is available in its free email service Gmail, as a standalone service, and as a part of Google's business-oriented suite of web apps Google Apps.



Google Calendar is a time-management and scheduling calendar service developed by Google.



Address Book (sometimes known as “Contacts”) is an address book software application made by Apple that runs on Mac OS X.



Calendar is a personal calendar app made by Apple Inc. that runs on both the macOS desktop operating system and the iOS mobile operating system.



Each or any of these services may use cookie-based technology to collect information from users browsing the sites in our portfolio.

Cookies are small pieces of text stored on your computer by your web browser. They act as a memory for websites allowing them to distinguish one visitor from another. They record information about your online preferences and allow certain websites to tailor to your interests. It enables easy passage and intuitive use within certain websites.


As text a cookie is not executable. They cannot replicate themselves and they are not viruses.

Our computers and devices are password protected, along with our storage drives, my partner and I are the only people with access to these devices. We will only use your information for the purposes stated above, and will not share the information under any circumstances, without your consent (for example, if you ask us to put you in touch with another entertainer).


How we use this information


Occasionally, we send out emails promoting new shows, offers and discounts. We may contact you about a current, future or past booking to request further information if needed or to discuss payment. We may need to advice you on changes that are relevant to the website, contact information or a booking. All contact will only be related to Brian Shaw and acts managed or represented by the Brian Shaw Entertainments Group.


Your choices

If at any time you want to opt out of receiving these updates, please just respond to tell us, and you will immediately be removed from our mailing list. However, we do have to keep your contact details on file until an upcoming show has been performed and payment has been made. We may also keep your details on file as a reminder to not contact you again. If you would like all your information completely deleted, then please let me know and we will do so, however once “forgotten” you may be contacted in the future if we have no evidence of contacting you previously or you contact us again regarding future bookings or events. We currently operate an “implied consent” policy, which means that by not-opting out, We assume you are happy with this usage.

Our right to change this policy

Brian Shaw and acts managed or represented by the Brian Shaw Entertainments Group reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time. We will let you know at the bottom of this page the date it was last updated. To understand how your information will be used we encourage you to review our privacy policy whenever you use this web site.
